2019 NFL Mock Draft: Steelers finally find their Ryan Shazier replacement
14 mars 2019

Yes Cheap
Terrell Edmunds Jersey
, it's time for the first mock draft of the season.
Is it early? Absolutely it is, but that doesn't mean we can't start mocking a
bit as we get a definition of how college players are playing and what the
Steelers need in general. Thus, it is time to delve into one of my top-10
prospects of the early season. For the one- round mock I have here, we will
assume the Steelers have the 13th pick, as per the rankings currently. It's
unlikely this will be the same after the season ends, but regardless it's the
best we can do currently. Now, as we've seen during the first four weeks of the
season, this pick has to be on defense. Yes, I know, another first-rounder spent
on a defender. Unless Ben Roethlisberger retires, there's no chance I'm spending
a first-round pick on an offensive player, especially not a running back. I
would rather address RB through free agency with a guy like Tevin Colemen or,
since it's now reported the Transition Tag is going on Le’Veon Bell, he might
just be back with the team on a long-term deal. This leaves me with three
options: Cornerback, Inside Linebacker, or EDGE. I can make a good argument for
any of these
three Cheap
Antonio Brown Jersey
, but I have a certain sense the team really wants to
shore-up the middle of the defense. I have the young, promising Matthew Thomas,
and the overachieving Jon Bostic, but I'd like one of them to be a backup along
with Vince Williams. Creating a four-headed attack at ILB in which I can rotate
the guys I want on the field at will is something I'm all for. Thus, I'm going
for that key game-changer at ILB. Steelers fans, meet Mack Wilson.Round 1: Mack
Wilson. ILB, AlabamaJust to let you guys know, at the beginning of last year.
WIlson ran a 4.59 40 and he looks even faster than that on tape. The 6’0’, 230lb
(there is no way he is 230 lbs) linebacker is an absolute unit on the field. I
introduce you to one of those rare athletic ILB types that can change a defense.
If you want an introduction to him, watch him fly off the edge and absolutely
blow up this running play. He's an absolute freight train off the edge when he's
unblocked like this. If you thought Bud Dupree could fly off the edge when he
was unblocked, Mack Wilson puts that to shame. His athleticism isn't just
limited to speed, but acceleration and agility too. He's elite in both areas,
and you can see that all over his tape. Just take a look at this interception,
great acceleration forward and then one of the most athletic interceptions
you'll see as he lays out for the catch. You have to give props to Quinnen
Williams with a great chop and then the strong rip through right after. Williams
himself is a great defensive lineman, and is a strict product of now-Steelers DL
coach Karl Dunbar. However, you can see Wilson has extra tight coverage here and
he's actually further behind the receiver to the
ball Cheap
Le'Veon Bell Jersey
, so Wilson has to come forward with burst and make
this play. That's just an incredible athletic play. However, my favorite thing
about Mack Wilson on that play might be the mental aspect. To make that play
requires two key things. One, you have to be able to read the QB and react
quickly. Two, it takes top awareness of coverage on your man to make this play.
Wilson makes that play possible through mental awareness chiefly. If you want to
see the range and reaction this guy has in coverage, look no further than this
play. Every time I watch this play I get more and more Ryan Shazier vibes. He's
increasingly aggressive with his athleticism and is shot out of a cannon on
plays like this. His mental processing needs work on things like play-action but
it has improved. Wilson has plays like this all over his film. Once he sees a
play, he goes and attacks it and he attacks it aggressively. The hit and
reaction once it's released are imperative to making this play. His athleticism
helps a ton too, but the mental awareness in coverage is a huge reason why this
works. That's something the Steelers seemingly lack at ILB too. The mental
aspect in coverage seems to escape them, so this would be a huge add. The way
Mack Wilson plays reminds me a little too much of Ryan Shazier. His awareness in
coverage, the way he aggressively comes off of the edge, and his run-defense
too. Wilson is a great run-defender, and is especially good in fighting off
blockers at the second level due to active hands. He just tackled Sony Michel
and Nick Chubb with ease too, so that should let you know how sure of a tackler
this guy is. But notice how aware he is of the ball carrier and then how he
fights straight off of these blocks to make the tackles. This is how you beat a
stack block and fill in the line when your DL doesn't get the penetration you
want them to get. The Steelers have this somewhat in Jon Bostic, but it never
hurts to have two of them. When you have two of those ILBs, your run-defense
improves exponentially. Even Wilson’s cons mirror Shazier’s when he was coming
out. He takes bad angles but they are made up for by his athleticism, and he
overpursues into the backfield at times too. Yes, it would be a retread of a
young Ryan
Shazier http://www.steelerscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-jesse-james-jersey ,
but Mack Wilson is just what this defense needs. You wanna improve this defense?
Mack Wilson is the ticket to doing it. Since signing a $14.35 million contract
with the Pittsburgh Steelers on March 20, very little has been heard from the
team’s most expensive free agent signing of the offseason. Hampered by a
hamstring injury he suffered during minicamp earlier in the year, Morgan Burnett
seemingly spent more time on the sidelines than he did on the practice field at
training camp and the regular season has not been much kinder to him
either.Despite returning to play in Week 1, Burnett would not make it to Week 3
after picking up a groin injury, and there appears to be very little optimism he
will be returning to the field in the near future. When speaking to reporters on
Wednesday, the former Green Bay Packers safety was leaving team facilities with
plans to continue his rehab when he went back home for the bye week break, as he
told Chris Adamski of TribLive.Burnett has not come close to suiting up on game
day over the past four weeks and has barely been able to participate in
training, even in a limited capacity. This is not the first time the safety has
tried to deal with a groin injury either, a problem that cost him two games in
2017 after also suffering a hamstring injury earlier that year too. A calf
problem sidelined him for five games in 2015 and it is perhaps worth noting that
Burnett has only played a full 16 game schedule twice in his nine year career,
back in 2011 and 2012.In his absence, rookie Terrell Edmunds has been thrust
into a starting role, leaving Burnett to contribute as something of a coach to
his young replacement, as the first round draft pick explained to Adamski. With
no plans on the horizon for surgery according to Adamski, it appears the
Steelers are taking a patient approach with Burnett’s recovery and it seems safe
to assume fans will not be seeing Burnet back in action anytime
soon. Custom Seattle Seahawks

a line that really only makes sense when you understand it was set long before
the Steelers dropped their second game of the season on Sunday night. Given the
way the contest against the Baltimore Ravens ultimately unfolded, it seems
highly likely that this spread will shorten as the week goes on. That being
said, taking into account the Falcons own disappointing 1-3 start to the year
after losing in the dying seconds to the Cincinnati Bengals earlier in the day,
it might be hard for backers to see enough value in either team to make the line
move that much either way. As an NFC

The Saints pummeled his team on Monday night

, but the other three clubs in the NFC East were
losers in Week Five as well so Washington head coach Jay Gruden woke up on
Tuesday morning at the helm of a first place team.Gruden did not sound like that
was his spot when he spoke to reporters on a Tuesday conference call. Gruden
said there is “a cloud looming over our head with issues we have to clean up.”
Those issues include safety D.J. Swearinger‘s feeling that the team isn’t taking
its business seriously enough, defensive lineman Jonathan Allen‘s belief that
the defense’s “communication was horrible” and an offense that has not lived up
to expectations.Offense is Gruden’s calling card and he said on Tuesday that his
focus is going to be making sure that the team is running the plays that get the
most out of quarterback Alex Smith.“We had some plays we left out there for
whatever reason,” Gruden said, via the Washington Post. “We have to make sure we get on the same page as him and dissect his brain a little bit and
make sure that we’re all on the same page with what we are trying to read on
each given play. I am a firm believer in really, really close communication with
head coach and quarterback, especially the playcaller and quarterback. That’s
something we’re working on … and we’re going to get him in better situations to
succeed.”With no one showing signs of running away from the pack in the
division, there’s time for things to come together before it is too late to
harbor hopes of advancing to the postseason. The more issues that pile up,
though, the tougher it is going to be to hold onto them forever. Trumaine
Johnson shoved Morgan Moses after a play, Trent Williams came to his teammate's
defense and within seconds the multiplayer melee spilled into the crowd. And that
was just Day One of the joint workouts between the New York Jets and Washington
Redskins.Tempers have flared at times between Jets and Redskins
players Womens

, though things were calmer Monday after a couple of
fights and a handful of skirmishes marred their first practice together. But a
day of being on their best behavior could be more of an anomaly than a Kumbaya
trend leading up to their third and final practice Tuesday and preseason matchup
Thursday."A bunch of young guys. It's to be expected," veteran Redskins tight
end Vernon Davis said. "We can't control what the Jets are doing. They have to
be on the same wavelength when it comes to going out there and practicing smart
and practicing better. And if they're not, then someone from our side is going
to respond. It could get out of control."The majority of players and coaches
were annoyed that fights overshadowed the benefits the joint workouts: getting
to see action against another team outside of games. Washington running back
Chris Thompson and some teammates, who were around when fights broke out with
the Houston Texans at training camp in 2015, even questioned the wisdom of
bringing another team in — which the Redskins didn't do either of the past two
years."I think you ask around the league, I think a lot of guys will probably
say they don't really care for the joint practices just because of things like
this happening," Thompson said. "There's not many joint practices where you
don't have fights."Knowing the Jets were coming to town, linebacker Zach Brown
said former Redskins teammate Terrelle Pryor should watch out if he makes
one-handed catches. Brown said over the weekend the situation would be fine but
cast doubt on Pryor practicing, which he wasn't wrong about because the receiver
revealed he broke his ankle in May and is still working to be 100 percent.Pryor,
whose operation was previously referred to as a

, flashed a smile and said it's a miracle — "it's
amazing" — he's on the field. He doesn't think it's a miracle that the Jets and
Redskins managed to cool down after pushing, shoving and swinging at each other
Sunday."We're all trying to get to Week 1 healthy to help our respective teams,"
said Pryor, who won't play Thursday at Washington. "We're handling it
professionally and we can take care of that on the field on Thursday, the
hitting and all that. But right now let's get better. Let's make each other
better."Football-wise, the Jets' focus seems to be on getting rookie quarterback
Sam Darnold more work with the first team after the third overall pick's stellar
preseason debut. On the Redskins' side, coach Jay Gruden has to sort out his
running back situation after rookie and presumptive starter Derrius Guice tore
the ACL in his left knee and was ruled out for the season.Fighting Sunday got in
the way of that and ticked off Gruden and New York counterpart Todd Bowles
because it took time for their players to cool down and wasted practice
time."They're not going to get any better fighting us and we're not going to get
any better fighting them," Bowles said. "We're not trying to fight them. They're
not trying to fight us. If they wanted to be boxers and wrestlers, they probably
would be in another sport."That doesn't mean fights won't flare up. Johnson
called it "friendly competition" and didn't seem to think it was so
bad."Competition at its finest," Johnson said. "It's one of those days in camp
where guys start fights. When you practice against a new team for the first time
during
camp www.redskinsfootballauthentics.com ,
I guess that's what happens. It's a little competition that got heated up."Moses
was so heated Sunday afternoon that Gruden escorted him off the field to calm
him down. He wasn't injured and was back Monday, but Williams didn't take kindly
to what he and the Redskins perceived to be a cheap shot."We reacted how we
reacted," Williams said. "There's no repercussions out here, so stuff can go a
little further."Referee Carl Cheffers and his crew are supervising the workouts,
but he said he's letting coaches break things up rather than the officials
policing the field. That'll change when the Jets and Redskins meet in each
team's second preseason game Thursday."If that happens in a game, there's
multiple ejections and penalties that will cost our football team," Gruden said.
"And that's the most important thing we got to make sure we get across."NOTES:
Bowles wouldn't say if Darnold will start Thursday, sticking to his line that
"all three quarterbacks need to be ready." ... Redskins WR Josh Doctson was
among those who did not practice, but the team did not say
why. www.nflshopoutlet.com/baltimore-ravens

peek backwardsBefore we move forward to look at the challenge the Redskins will
be facing when they host the Eagles on Sunday, let’s take a final quick look
back at last week’s gritty loss to the Titans in Nashville. The Redskins led for
much of the game, and played competitive football for roughly 58 minutes last
week, until a late interception thrown by Josh Johnson ended the Redskins drive
that could have tied the game or given Washington the
lead http://www.authenticswashingtonredskins.com/cheap-morgan-moses-jersey ,
and perhaps the win. With that interception, all hope of a playoff berth came to
a crashing end.Last weekend, ahead of the Tennessee game, 5 o’clock club readers
were invited to vote on over-under predictions for the game. Let’s see how we
did.Predictions & actual results for last week’s Tennessee Titans gameThe
Redskins generate 259 yards of total offense against the Titansprediction: over
(53%)actual: The Redskins actually had reasonable offensive production against
the Titans, putting up 292 total yards of offense (the Titans put up 291).The
breakdown was:Passing: 131Rushing: 161Given that the Redskins were starting two
guards that no one in Washington had heard of a fortnight earlier, the rushing
success was fairly impressive, and due to a combination of the line getting good
push against the Titans and Adrian Peterson running like a Hall of Fame
back.Photo by Wesley Hitt/Getty ImagesThe Redskins score 15.5 points against the
Titansprediction: over (66%)actual: The Redskins barely squeaked this one out to
make the fans right, scoring 16 points. The penultimate Redskins drive (the one
that ended in the interception) could have made a huge difference in this game
had it been successful. With the Redskins in 4-down mode, on 3rd & 3, had the
team opted for a running play with Adrian Peterson, with one more down left for
desperation, if needed, the drive could have potentially taken the Redskins to
19 or 23 points. The final desperate 20 seconds, which — like a few other games
in the Jay Gruden era — ended with a turnover and a defensive TD for the
opposition, wouldn’t have happened, and the Titans would have lost 23-19, scored
on a miraculous TD drive to win 26-23, or the game would have gone to
overtime. In any event, the first interception ended the Redskins scoring, and
the second changed the outcome for a huge number of gamblers and their
bookies. The Redskins will be +0.5 on turnover differential against the
Titansprediction: over (74%)actual: The entire game was turnover-free until the
Redskins final two drives ended with interceptions. This game was always going to
be won by the team that won the turnover battle.Season-long history was on the
side of the Redskins going into the game, but it was easy to see that the
defense was tacking the player (usually Henry) instead of attacking the ball in
this game.It improved tackling, but reduced the opportunity for forced
fumbles. The Redskins defense should have had one interception that likely would
have changed the

sufficiently rattle the backup, and the Titans finished the game without
committing a turnover of any kind.Josh Johnson, for the Redskins, played a

good season, and seems to be a solid kicker for the Redskins.Adrian Peterson
will carry the ball 16 times against the Titansprediction: over (85%)actual: The
Redskins gave the ball to Adrian Peterson 26 times in the game, and he rewarded
the team with 119 yards.AD carried the team on his back, not for the first time

some of the information that James Dorsett wrote earlier this week:Photo by
Wesley Hitt/Getty ImagesShifting the focus to the Philadelphia EaglesSunday’s
game was shifted to the late time slot because it has playoff implications — not
for the Redskins, but for the Eagles. If the Eagles win and the Vikings lose to
the Bears, Philly goes to the playoffs. If the Redskins win the game, the Eagles
are out, no matter what happens to the Vikings. This means that Redskins fans
have a reason to cheer for their team to win.The result would be an 8-8 record
for both the ‘Skins and the Eagles, and a regular season split with every team
in the NFC East. The Redskins can’t keep the Cowboys out of the playoffs, but
they can end the Eagles’ dreams of back-to-back superbowls right here, in Week
17.Photo by Elsa/Getty ImagesIt’s likely that the game, although played at FedEx
Field, will take place in front of more Eagles fans in green than Redskins fans
in burgundy & gold. The reasons go far beyond the fact that the Redskins are
out of the playoff race.In fact, Redskin home games have been lightly attended
all season long — at least by Redskins fans. This week saw a move by Dan Snyder
that would have passed unnoticed by most fan bases. On the day after Christmas,
Dan fired Brian Lafemina, who had been on the job for about 8 months, and who
was charged with improving fan relations, improving the game day experience, and
increasing ticket sales to Redskins fans. The incident has been widely reported,
so I won’t review it
here Youth

, but I do want to make a comment on why I think it
is significant that three marketing guys got sacked this week.I felt — and I
don’t think that I was the only one — that a certain critical mass had been
achieved in 2018.Following the ugly firing of Scot McCloughan, there had been a
series of moves, including the reorganization of the front office, which seemed
to reward the right people, and the hiring of Lafemina and his team, that
signaled a move in a positive direction. The blunders of 2018 mostly seemed to
fall at the feet of Bruce Allen, and I thought, for the first time, that there
was a very real probability that Allen would be fired come ‘Black Monday’.The
termination of Lafemina and his team appears to snuff out that hope.It occurs to
me that, if Bruce Allen isn’t fired after the shitshow that has marked his
tenure to date, then he will never be fired.Bruce Allen has won out yet
again.Photo by Win McNamee/Getty ImagesThat’s the tragedy of seeing the three
marketing guys sacked (and one other resign). It’s what it signals — the eternal
bungling rule of the sycophant.I’ll be cheering on the Redskins players on
Sunday, but with a deep level of misgiving about what won’t happen on Monday,
when it won’t be announced that Bruce Allen has been thanked for all he has done
for the franchise and relieved of his duties. That’s why the players, who deserve
better, will end up playing the finale at home in front of a lot of Eagles fans
instead of cheering, loyal Redskins fans.Because of Dan & Bruce.I hope for a
good performance by each of the Redskins players, but despair at the newest low
point in the Redskins ownership and executive
offices. www.nflshopoutlet.com/baltimore-ravens

Giants at Lions

, preseason Week 2: 5 questions and answers about
the Detroit Lions The New York Giants, after three days of practicing against
them, face the Detroit Lions on Friday in a preseason game (7 p.m. ET/NFL
Network, WNBC). Jeremy Reisman of SB Nation’s Pride of Detroit provided us with
practice reports [Day 1 | Day 2] this week. So, we turn to Jeremy for our weekly
“5 questions” segment.Ed: First, thank you so much for the practice reports this
week. They were a huge help. After watching the Giants for a few days what is
your overall, perhaps “high-level” impression of this Giants team?Jeremy: While
it’s hard to glean anything from two sets of practices with no live tackling and
a walk-through, I came away thinking more of this Giants team than I did after
their Week 2 matchup last season. The defensive line looks fierce and is the
clear strength of this roster. I feel like that should carry what should be a
pretty average offense with the potential of being slightly above average. My
reasoning for thinking the Giants will just be average on offense is because
outside of Odell Beckham Jr. (who, admittedly, looks as good as ever), I didn’t
see any standout skill players.
Obviously New York
Giants Hats
, Saquon Barkley didn’t give it a go during practice and he
can be a game-changer, but we’ll see. Also, any time Ereck Flowers is in your
starting lineup, there should be significant anxiety for your quarterback’s
health. Ed: Personally, I’m really interested in Tyrell Crosby. He is a player I
had targeted as a tackle prospect I thought would help the Giants. The Lions
drafted him. How has he done thus far?Jeremy: Crosby is already considered the
Lions’ third best offensive tackle on the team, which is both a testament to his
talent and the Lions’ lack of depth at the position. He’s been pretty impressive
in training camp, but he had a rocky preseason debut. Part of the reason for
that disconnect is likely the talent he’s going up against. The Raiders
defensive line depth is much better than the Lions’. Still, Detroit feels they
got a steal in Crosby, nabbing him in the fifth round, and although he isn’t
expected to start this year, many believe he is a long-term contender for
Detroit’s starting right tackle position. Evan EngramVincent Carchietta-USA
TODAY SportsEd: If you could take one offensive and one defensive player off the
Giants roster and put him in Detroit’s
lineup New York

, who would they be? Why?Jeremy: On offense, I would
probably take Evan Engram. The Lions’ tight end corps is looking for some
answers after giving up on Eric Ebron last year, and the trio of Michael
Roberts, Luke Willson and Levine Toilolo hasn’t given much reason for optimism.
I like Engram’s athleticism and I think the young tight end could build on an
impressive rookie year this season. Defensively, please give me Damon Harrison.
Seriously, I’ll do anything. Okay, not that. Get your mind out of the gutter,
Ed. Snacks is the kind of player you have to game plan around, and the Lions
defensive line just doesn’t have a guy like that, unless Ezekiel Ansah suddenly
proves he can stay healthy for more than a week at a time. Detroit has already
showed some issues defending the run this preseason, and Harrison would put a
quick end to that problem. Ed: Give us some under-the-radar players Giants fans
might not know much
about Womens

, but are likely to notice on Friday
night?Jeremy: Wide receiver Teo Redding has been your prototypical camp darling
through the first couple weeks. He underwhelmed in the preseason opener, but
6-foot-1 receiver has the athleticism to go up and snag the ball away from
shorter cornerbacks. Additionally, tight end Hakeem Valles had an excellent
string of practices against the Giants this week and could make a huge impact
during the second half of Friday’s game. Raj Mehta-USA TODAY SportsEd: There are
many fans who wanted Matt Patricia to be the Giants head coach. What are your
impressions of Patricia thus far?Jeremy: When the sexual assault allegations
from 20 years ago were unearthed, it understandably fractured the fanbase.
Off-field stuff aside, I like the idea of Matt Patricia. In a lot of ways, he’s
the opposite of Jim Caldwell. Instead of the conservative old-school thinker,
Patricia is a guy who is always adapting, always adjusting his schemes and is
just a really smart dude. Though his press conferences are always extremely
short on useful news, they’re typically entertaining to listen to, because you
can tell just how much this guy knows about the game. I’m not that concerned
about the poor track record of New England Patriots assistants-turned-head
coaches, seeing as he already has a built-in rapport with general manager Bob
Quinn (they worked aside each other for over a decade in New England). That
being said www.giantscheapshops.com ,
Patricia has quite the task ahead of him, and I’m reserving full judgment until
I see some actual results. Another Giants wide receiver is weighing in on
quarterback Eli Manning, but one imagines that co-owner John Mara won’t be
expressing a desire to hear less from Sterling Shepard in the future. That was
Mara’s request of Odell Beckham after Beckham said he didn’t know if Manning was
part of the problem with the offense in an ESPN interview. Mara made that
request on Tuesday when he also defended Manning’s play during the 1-5 start to
the season.Mara said the Giants still believe in Manning, who he called a
“punching bag” for critics while other players have been under less scrutiny.
Shepard also addressed Manning’s status in the organization on Tuesday and stuck
to a line that’s surely more to Mara’s liking.“I have total faith in Eli,”
Shepard said, via NJ.com. “I haven’t heard that once in this locker room. I
haven’t [heard] that from an individual player. That’s just outside noise and
stuff trying to break us apart. We’re doing a good job of keeping everything
together in here. As far as in the locker room, we have total faith in him, we
picked him as our starting quarterback at the beginning of the season and we’re
going to ride with that.”A report by Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com suggested that
some players are expressing reservations about the veteran quarterback, but
there’s little reason to think the Giants would give any thought to benching
Manning at this point in the year. There are still 10 games to go, no reason to
give journeyman Alex Tanney a run as the starter and no indication that
fourth-round pick Kyle Lauletta would lead the team to markedly better
results.

the situations you want to be in. You want to have a chance."The Giants (2-7)
have failed to capitalize on those late-game situations this season, losing five
games by seven or fewer points as part of a disappointing stretch that has put
the 37-year-old Manning's status as starting quarterback in question. But Manning
delivered against the 49ers (2-8) to give New York a much-needed win."That's
what Eli is really good at, engineering those come-from-behind drives," coach

San
Francisco 49ers Hoodie
, it turns out San Francisco 49ers quarterback Nick
Mullens will not complete 72 percent of his passes and throw three touchdowns
with no interceptions every week. A week after an astonishing debut against the
Oakland Raiders, Mullens came back to earth a bit against the New York Giants.
He completed 69 percent of his passes for 250 yards, with one touchdown and two
interceptions. It was not a great performance, but it likely was enough to earn
Mullens a third straight start — against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 12
after the 49ers bye. Head coach Kyle Shanahan was asked if Mullens would be the
starter after the bye, and he said, “I’m sure, but I haven’t thought about it
yet.”Mullens was able to make some big passes, including some key third down
conversions. At the same time, his first interception showed why there is
concern over his arm strength. Mullens found Marquise Goodwin deep near the end,
but it feels like the deep ball is not really an active part of the game-plan at
this point. Mullens regularly found George Kittle, and did enough shorter work
to set up solid YAC opportunities, which provides something to build
on.Following the bye week, the 49ers travel to face a Bucs squad that ranks 23rd
against No. 1 receivers and 31st against No. 2 receivers. They also rank 32nd
against tight ends and running backs, so realistically there should be a lot of
opportunities for Mullens to make plays. The Bucs defense is atrocious, and
while a solid performance won’t necessarily provide the final answers we want,
it will hopefully provide an opportunity for Mullens to build further confidence
heading into the final month-plus of the schedule.Opening Comments:“Alright,

Goodwin had his head examined and he went back in.”There were a lot of penalties
on that last Giants sequence. The big one was the LB Malcolm Smith holding call.
You seemed to have a pretty good angle on it, what did you see on that play?“He
grabbed him. They called it.”Did that timeout defensively, it looked like your
assistant coach was running up the sideline. Was this just something you needed
to take there or would you prefer not to have to burn a time out there?“I would
definitely prefer not to, but we saw a look that did not look good and we
thought we had a chance still to hold them. So, that was a pivotal part of the
game to try to stop them before they got there.” You’ve talked so much about
finishing, finding finishers, etc., etc. Is this kind of the same type of game
where you didn’t have that play to win it?“It was a number of plays. Extremely
disappointed. I thought we put ourselves in a position that we should have won
that game. Up 20-10 after the first drive in the third quarter. Gave up a big
kick return right after that, I think, followed by two explosives. Got them
right back in it, 20-17. I thought we had a chance to step on their throat there
and we didn’t. We let them get back in it fast. Kept them around. Kept them
around too long and then we didn’t make the plays at the end and we had every
opportunity to and just as a team, players, coaching staff, we didn’t get it
done.” How do you think QB Nick Mullens played generally and the second
interception - did Goodwin stop and start a little bit on that route, did you
notice?“I didn’t watch him, but the route is a stop and start route. So, I
assume he did. It looked like the ball was a little bit behind him. I’d love
Nick to throw a better ball and I expect Marquise to catch that regardless.” And
how do you think Nick played overall in this game?“I think he did some good
things and some things we need to improve on.”Goodwin went out and looked at his
head. Came back in very
quickly Nick
Mullens Jersey
, then had the ball that was deflected and got hit in the
head again.“Yeah.” How involved are you, I mean, some normal person would say
he’s getting looked at twice in his head? He shouldn’t go back in. How involved
are you in that decision, because he did play at the end?“Yeah, zero. They take
him to a tent any time that happens. They phone from upstairs. They go to a
tent. Even if he is feeling alright, they have to go anyway. So, they check it
out and they tell me when they are good to go. So, I don’t know what goes on in
the tent. I just know whether they say ‘you have him or you don’t.’” On the one
touchdown to New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr., CB Ahkello Witherspoon was on
coverage. He looked like he was upset afterwards, like he was supposed to get
some help.“Yeah. I think he was expecting help over the top. He was surprised he
didn’t get it.” Nick had a couple bumps that he didn’t have last week. Just how
did he respond when he had a little adversity like a few interceptions?“He was
the same. He had one early. Didn’t change. Didn’t get gun shy. Played his game.
I don’t think the picks affected him. He played his game.” Are you okay with
Witherspoon throwing his hands up in the air when he doesn’t get help?“No, I am
not. No. Man up. Don’t put that on tape. We’ll deal with it when we come in.” RB
Matt Breida came out for a little bit. Might have had a little tweak?“Yeah, he
came out a little bit. Nothing though that I was told about, no injuries or
anything. Just some wear and tear as the game went. So, tried to spell him here
and there.”What happened on the first touchdown when it looked like Beckham
found a spot in the zone between two guys?“I’m not exactly sure what happened,
but that’s zone and you don’t get there quick enough, I’m not sure if it was
three-man rush or not. I didn’t see it, but the zones broke
down Nick
Mullens 49ers Jersey
, it takes too long and found a hole there and [New
York Giants QB] Eli [Manning] threw a good ball.” Will Nick be the starter after
the bye? Nick Mullens?“I’m sure, but I haven’t thought about it yet.” Can you
talk a little bit about LB Fred Warner and his play tonight?“From what I saw, I
thought he played well. I won’t know for sure until I go study the tape, but
when I was looking up I saw him make some plays. He’s done a helluva a job
leading our defense all year as a rookie, just making the calls and being out
there every single week too. We’ve been real happy with Fred this year. From
what I saw, it looked like he did some good things in the game, but I won’t know
for sure until I watch the tape.” On 3rd-n-7 in the red zone, just after the
two-minute warning. It was a three-yard pass to WR Kendrick Bourne. What did you
see on that play?“What?” It was a three-yard pass to WR Kendrick Bourne and was
anyone open beyond the sticks? What did you see on that play?“Yeah, there’s five
guys out on a route. There’s lots of stuff that goes on. We called H Arches, I
don’t know if you know what that is, but someone fell under the arches, you have
to go across the board to the shallow. He got hit by a plugger and we were a
little bit late to it, because the guard, someone flashed across Nick’s face, so
he couldn’t throw it on time. He threw it a little later and the defense
recovered and stopped us short.” Obviously, the record isn’t what you want and
obviously, you lost QB Jimmy Garoppolo and RB Jerick McKinnon. But
overall Quarterback
Nick Mullens Jersey
, going into the bye week, what’s your assessment of
the first portion of the season?“I mean, right now, I’m thinking all about this
game. The assessment of the season so far is - I would be much happier with a
better record. I know a lot of things have happened. I expected to win this
game. We expected to win this game. Right now, I’m disappointed we didn’t and
we’ll figure out how to get our guys better. Hopefully getting some rest will
help the guys and we’ll have a good week of practice next week and come back and
get ready for the second half of the season.” Coming back to that
third-and-seven play, you said the throw was late, but was it the right read
from Nick on that third-and-seven play?“Maybe. I’m not going to go through the
entire playbook with you and you should wait until you see the play.” On Matt
Breida, how helpful was he and how much was he battling that second half with
the ankle?“I was never told that his ankle was hurt. I think he was alright.”
The San Francisco 49ers lost running back Raheem Mostert to a fractured forearm
this past week, and have a decision to make for Week 10. Matt Breida, Alfred
Morris, and fullback Kyle Juszczyk will get the bulk of the work next Monday
against the New York Giants, but the team will likely add a third running back.
The 49ers currently have Jeff Wilson and Matt Dayes on the practice squad. The
49ers signed Wilson as a UDFA this past May, and he has been on the practice
squad all season long. They signed Matt Dayes to the practice squad in early
October.Last Friday, head coach Kyle Shanahan was asked if it would be a
competition in practice this week to see which of the two running backs might be
elevated. The 49ers might have taken a look at some running backs the past few
days, but they have an interesting new option they might consider. The Detroit
Lions waived running back Ameer Abdullah on Tuesday to make room for wide
receiver Bruce Ellington. Abdullah was inactive this past week, and has been on
the outs for a while. There were thoughts he might get cut at the end of
training camp, but he hung around through the first half of the season.Abdullah
has struggled to stay
healthy Nick
Mullens Jersey
, but when healthy has been a decent weapon at times. As a
rookie in 2015, he averaged 4.2 yards per carry and had 25 receptions. Football
Outsiders ranked him 37th in DYAR and DVOA as a rusher, and 40th in both
categories as a pass-catching back. He spent most of 2016 on injured reserve,
and then averaged 3.3 yards per carry and had another 25 receptions in 2017. FO
ranked him 36th in DYAR and 37th in DVOA as a rusher, and 32nd and 30th in those
two categories as a pass-catcher. He was active for three games this season in
Detroit. The 49ers hold the third spot in waiver priority, which means they would
have a decent crack at Abdullah. He’s never emerged as the kind of talent people
thought he was, but there is some potential evaluative value to be had. Abdullah
is in the final year of his rookie contract. If the 49ers elected to claim him,
they would owe him roughly $438,372 for the final half of the season. It’s not a
whole lot of much if the 49ers want to see what he can do.At the same time, they
might want to take a look at Wilson and Dayes to see what they have heading into
the 2019 offseason. Realistically, Jerick McKinnon, Matt Breida, and Raheem
Mostert all could be in the running back depth chart next summer. Considering
how good Mostert has looked after seeming like nothing more than a strong
special teams player, Kyle Shanahan and Bobby Turner could probably do some
things with Abdullah. I guess we’ll see in 24 hours if they want to figure out
what they have in their current group, or bring in some additional talent.

San Francisco quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo suffered
14 mars 2019

what appears to be a season-ending knee injury when his knee buckled as he tried to
cut back inside rather than stepping out of bounds late in Sunday’s loss to the
Chiefs. Kansas City linebacker Justin Houston says Garoppolo has no one to blame
but himself.“That was his
fault Cheap
DeForest Buckner Jersey
,” Houston said. “I pray he’s not hurt, nothing
serious, but as a quarterback you should step out of bounds. It was only an
inch. That inch wouldn’t have made a difference. You got the yardage you need,
you step out of bounds. You got to be smart.”Houston is right: Garoppolo was
surrounded by Chiefs defenders and wasn’t going to gain any significant
additional yardage by staying inbounds. He was at the sideline and easily could
have stepped out and avoided any contact.Instead he decided to fight for maybe
one extra yard, and that decision probably ended any hopes the 49ers have of
making the playoffs. That was not smart.Golden Nuggets: Why did the 49ers lose
on Mack? More cryptic info has come out on the San Francisco 49ers pursuit of
demon pass-rusher Khalil mack. A pursuit that ended in failure when he was
instead dealt to the Chicago Bears for a really strange deal. After watching him
make Green Bay his own house for three
quarters http://www.49erscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-kyle-juszczyk-jersey ,
it’s apparent he could have made the 49ers defense something. Him? DeForest
Buckner? Reuben Foster? Fred Warner? Richard Sherman? That has the chance of
legendary status. Alas, it’s not meant to be. So what did the 49ers offer? My
guess is something close to what Chicago offered. The Raiders said they felt the
Rams, another suitor for Mack, were going to pick “too low” meaning they [the
Rams] would do too well in the ensuing season. Chicago is not near as far along
in their rebuild as the 49ers are. Both are rebuilding, but San Francisco is
doing it at a much accelerated pace thanks to sound drafting and that no-name
quarterback they gave a bunch of money to. So the 49ers draft positioning had to
be a factor. No one knows for
sure http://www.49erscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-earl-mitchell-jersey ,
but I’m guessing it was in the realm of what Chicago offered, but not quite, and
not as juicy given the above information. And while we’re on it. Foot in my
mouth on objecting to this. I thought risking the 49ers future and salary cap
was a bad move. Not only would they give up a couple first rounders, but that
well would have dried up for when DeForest Buckner came in for an extension. I
don’t know how the 49ers could work on keeping everyone, but it’s something I
think worth
risking http://www.49erscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-joe-staley-jersey ,
especially with the way Mack has transformed the Bears defense. Unfortunately,
the 49ers were already good without Mack. The Bears? Well not so much. That had

is likely to occur throughout this offseason — sculpting a new team.Let’s get to
the news:Analysis: Locking up Roethlisberger, adjustments in worksBy: Dale
Lolley, DKPittsburghSportsWhile much of the focus right now has been on the
failures of the Steelers’ defense and special teams after coming a half-game
short of reaching the postseason, the offense was not without its share of the
blame. The Steelers finished the 2018 season ranked fourth in total offense and
tied for sixth in scoring offense. But they also finished seventh in giveaways
with 26, and none of the teams that had more qualifyied for the playoffs. The
Steelers offense isn’t in need of a total

player considered one of the best to ever play the position would be a blow. But
it’s not one the Steelers couldn’t overcome with some adjustments.Life without
Brown wouldn’t be the same. But it doesn’t necessarily need to be based on what
the Steelers choose to do with their offense. The stats show Ben Roethlisberger
threw 16 interceptions in 2018, matching the second-largest total in his 15-year
career. But diving deeper into those numbers shows the quarterback wasn’t any
more turnover prone than he’s been at any point. In fact, it actually shows
Roethlisberger took better care of the football in 2018 than he has in previous
seasons. While Roethlisberger’s interception total did, indeed, match the 16
interceptions he threw in 2015 for the second-most in his career — behind only a
forgettable 2006 season — his interception percentage (measured in interceptions

HERE.Mark Madden: Steelers must excise destructive Antonio BrownBy: Mark Madden,
Pittsburgh Tribune-ReviewOwner/president Art Rooney said it would be “hard to
envision” Antonio Brown at Pittsburgh Steelers training camp. That sounds like a
one-way ticket to Palookaville, even though the Steelers would have to absorb a
$21.1 million cap hit if they Brown. But if a bum tooth hurts bad enough, you
get it yanked even if your dental insurance stinks. The Steelers won’t get equal
return for Brown. He will fetch a late first-round pick at best, more likely a
second-round pick.Every team thinks it can fix a problem: “It’ll be different
here.”But Brown should make even the most cockeyed of optimists tread lightly,
and with good reason. He will behave the same wherever he goes. But at his next
stop, Brown won’t have the cachet he built up during his nine seasons in
Pittsburgh. The citizens will be quicker to
anger http://www.steelerscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-jon-bostic-jersey ,
especially if Brown, at 30, sees his play decline sooner, not later. It’s absurd
when it’s said that the Steelers, or Rooney, or coach Mike Tomlin, or team
leadership “let” Brown act as he has. He’s a grown man. He’s responsible,
period.Brown would have operated the same if Chuck Noll was coaching. (The
situation would have come to a head much earlier.)Here’s hoping Brown goes to
New York. Brown’s shenanigans + New York’s usual lack of patience and
tact=slapstick that could dwarf what happened in Pittsburgh.Rooney left himself
one minuscule out regarding Brown’s likely departure: He said he would speak to
some of the team’s leaders about the situation. What those leaders really think
would be interesting. Especially quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. On one hand,
Brown has been Roethlisberger’s top target for six years. On the other hand,
Brown has been an excruciating headache for Roethlisberger almost every day of
those six years. The animosity between the two spilled over in that Dec. 26
practice. Roethlisberger chastised Brown for running a bad route. Brown fired a
ball at Roethlisberger, walked out and wasn’t seen or heard from for three
days. That was that play’s denouement, not it’s first act. A quarterback throws
